Insecurities

I have insecurities too
Most of which, I've already told to you.
However, I feel as if you fail to hear,
those hints i whisper into your semi- listening ear.
And upon wondering where these problems arise,
I, unfortunately, am not suprised to find
That they are discovered
in the same place our education resides.

School kids are so very judgemental
and then scientists wonder why kids like me are so tempermental.
The teasing, the taunts, the sarcastic remarks,
can weigh heavily on a poor teenager's thoughts.
Influencing the way they see themselves daily,
resulting in expectations that are far too hazy.

The teachers at school tell use to have condifence and friends,
but even those things can not make amends
For those hateful and spiteful remarks,
insecurities residing in every teenager's heart.
