In the Interests of Peace

In the Interests of Peace

For what purpose do we raise arms in war
Yet clamor fervently in the interest of peace?
Have we learned nothing from times before?
Our hostile thoughts of superiority must cease!

If amity amongst ourselves we wish to achieve,
Then one must learn to embrace each and all;
Throw away the notions our minds preconceive
About anyone; these tendencies we must forestall

Race and belief systems need cause no division,
We are blood-bound siblings made in every hue;
As concord across nations remains a staid vision,
One must espouse coexistence: it begins with you.
