Introduced to your Footpronts

Introduced to Your Footprints!

When you left this place,

You must know that in your footprints, lay history.

The reason you left or God took you away,

Still remains a mystery.

Because of you, the family found peace.

You were the rock, the glue that put us together,

The love we didn’t feel for each other,

Joyful, faithful, and remained a Christian.

The things we didn’t realize until you left,

It’s crazy how you’re dead and people start listening!

For I don’t feel regret about our relationship,

Not even during your last year.

Hurt by your condition, but I had to keep going.

When you dotted the door of life,

I still had every reason to shed a tear.

Back then, when you told me the news,

My entire life became a blur and put me in fear.

It was like I was trying to tame a tornado that I had no control over,

Trying to fight my way through the bad,

Just to make my mind believe in the good.

I realized something when I finally looked over my shoulder,

That I could do nothing but just be sad.

It was sad to see you leave,

But even more painful to watch you suffer.

While writing this in total agony on your Birthday,

I must convince myself,

That you’re in a much better place!
