Unspoken Words

Lips moving rapidly

But not a sound I hear

For things that I need to

You can’t imagine the right words to let them drift.

The promises,

The so called truth,

The dearest things yet!

The loving words,

Your lips moving rapidly,

But not a word I hear.

Communication is the key you say?

Well I’m talking and so are you,

But what is it that’s meant to said my dear?

I dreamt my words night and day.

Although, no matter how much I practice,

I can’t get them to come out the right way.

We both have wants and both have needs.

But the most important is for my words to be free.

Feelings and emotions balled up inside,

Desperate to get them to you,

Like a mother to her lost child.

We tend to listen with our ears

And not our hearts,

Missing the most important words of all,

And that’s us being apart!
