Invisible

Invisible

An illusion, I fade and evade into solid brick,
Immersed like mortar withstanding and yet hidden,
Surreal and yet, unappreciated, unseen, you see only what you wish.

I have no importance, no matter, and yet I help to shield you from the forces of nature, I seal in the warmth, the rain cascades down my back and yet I feel worthless, taken for granted as you swan around in your own little universe, immersed in only you!

Maybe one day you’ll take a step back and see all that matters most and rejoice in the gifts most shall never know!
Like grains of sand adrift in the coming wind across the seas,
Scars and hidden pain lie within the cracks, masked, no one ever sees.
