It Wasn't You

It Wasn't You

If IĀ told you, I heard what you said

Would you change those words of dread?

I know you really, could not haveĀ seen

Now I have nowhere to lean.

I thought you cared, I thought you knew,

That I really cared, for only you.

It seems I was tricked, I was the fool.

But now Iā€™ll never find another you.

I thought we had what lovers had.

I know the truth, Iā€™m really glad.

Maybe youā€™ll find that happiness someday.

All I know, is Iā€™m missing you today.

You can feel the pain in this piece...Wishing happiness to the one who caused it is difficult, yet is shows much strength...I really enjoyed your poem.
