Poem -

It’s so easy to judge

It’s so easy to judge

It’s so easy to judge
To raid another’s world
To look at how they parent
To look at how they live
To declare they are deficient,
insufficient

Call it neglect, abuse, over use of adult paraflinia
When simply it’s another way
Another way to be in the world
If they rich, poor
We implore them to do less or more
To parent the way we were
In the good old days,
the days we had our rose tinted, child vision glasses on

We chastise that which we don’t understand
That which is different from what we know
As if everyone’s life is the same
In that moment that is shared
As if by sharing you are inviting the right to be discussed, judged
Persecuted black and blue

And when real abuse looks ya all in the face
Stares at you with brusied eyes
Or doesn’t look at all
To scared to catch your eye
To violent to cry out

We ignore it
We look the other way
Say it’s none of our business
Make justification for the abuse
The abuser
Making our selfs feel better

And when the papers tell us of the horror
The horror we saw
The horror we ignored
Not just once or twice
Not just one organisation,
one doctor or nurse
But multiple people, multiple agency’s who new it was wrong, who new there was wrong here

We cry out
Never again
Never again
Loud at first
Then duller
Duller

Epic write, very truthful especially in this age.  Too much comparing, watching and not living for our own happiness.
