IT'S THE NIGHT OF THE LIVNG DEAD
Like 10 Pin it 6DEEP IN THE FOREST
THE MOON IS FULL
AND SOUNDS OF WOLF
HOWLING AT THE MOON
AS IT WAKES UP THE
DEAD AS THEY WALK
OUT OF THE CEMETERY
THISTY FOR BLOOD
FOR ITS NIGHT OF THE
LIVING DEAD.
DEEP IN THE FOREST
OUT OF THE WATER
BY THE WATER FALLS
COMES TWO LADYS
IN BLACK PLAYING
THERE HARP THE
NIGHT WILL NEVER
BE THE SAME
IT THE NIGHT OF THE
LIVING DEAD,
DOWN THOSE DARKEN STREETS
IN THE SHADOWS OF
THE NIGHT THE RED EYES
WILL FOLLOW YOU WHERE
EVERY YOU GO,DOWN THOSE DARKEN
STREETS LIES A CLOWN
THAT BLED FORM THE THISTY
DEAD,

Greg you had me sold on the word dead let alone living dead!
Superb chilling write and so atmospheric and also setting the tone for Halloween Night.
For if you're going to paint it, paint it black and red.
So love to read a dark one for its makes the heart beat that little bit faster.
Just dotting the i's and crossing those t's lately, for the one dedicated to you this All Hallows Eve Night and I said 50 a while back but that might rise if I can cram them all in.
And thanks for all your support Greg and a great pic also to add to your superb poem.

funny how this
came I was reading
scary poems
from someone who used to write in here
then listening to scary music
thought now I’m in the mood
so this is why I wrote it
Greg it seems most times it is down to mood to write, for reading and especially music helps to get one in "the zone".
Where as doing DIY on two rooms to be ready for Christmas and family arrivals can make one lose their will to live let alone think!!
And it's still not ready, that's what I have been doing lately.
A fate worse than death!

and it’s hard to cope I know that feeling
Greg it's a bloody nightmare for me time wise, two guest rooms gutted and a passage way and bathroom also and the all crap and dust in the air is beyond belief.
I'm working all the time on it, so this place and poetry is on the back burner lately.
A real slog and tonight I'm having a chill away from it.
A last minute decision by a higher power who can't paint for toffee and would use a glass hammer on a nail, but is a much better cook than this mere mortal.
So fair enough.
And family Christmas Day Evening with charades and dear God knows what else and other forms of family ridicules and refined tortures.
Pah! Humbug!
Just grin and bear it and never lose sight of Christmas's real message, which will probably be...
You need a second coat on that wall!!
