Jack Frost

Jack Frost

Lethal and gleaming, slippery, wet or dry
Carpets the land in the blink of an eye
With natures decorations; he adorns the land
Making trees and bushes look rather grand
Pleasing to the eye; a master of disguise
He changes his form as the temperatures rise
Night time closes in and temperatures fall
The enemy returns and again starts to crawl
He continues the invasion throughout the night
Marking his territory with a layer of white
Salt and grit are his enemies, defeated in one
Once contact is made, the invader is gone
