Jack Frost

It is cold in here
It reaches to my core and shivers my spine
A world void of warmth
Freezing all that I touch in a blanket of Ice
Chilling with arctic winds blowing at my back
Like sleeping in a igloo naked and in the fetal position
Warm thoughts elude me like chasing a fairy into the woods
I can't stand the sub zero temperature leaking from inside of me
Liquid nitrogen replaces my blood and shoots through my veins
My tears freeze to my faceย
I am frozen and alone in the dark
Every heat source I pass runs away from me
Fires expire and candles blow themselves out
I'm stuck in the reflection you see upon a frozen lake bed
No one can hear my voice it freezes on my tongue
The children can't see me here but they feel my icy sting upon their warm faces
