Jealousy

You say you never get jealous, it's an absurd emotion.

Then,

in the distance,

you see him talking on the phone.

His lips curl into a smile,

the kind that reaches all the way up to him eyes,

a smile you thought was only for you.

And suddenly,

you feel your stomach tighten like a fist.
