Mirror

We are mirror images.

You are always with me,
even when I can’t see you,
our every movement in sync.
You tell me the truth when no one else will.
You see things inside of me,
that no camera will ever capture,
things I can never believe are there.
You are with me when the corners of my mouth,
are too heavy to form a smile,
and when my nose scrunches in a laugh.
When we feel alone,
we just press our faces together,
and write secret messages in the steam.

BLOSSOM

I loved the sentiment in this poem Valarie, some great lines!

  • You see things inside of me that no camera will ever capture
  • You are with me when the corners of my mouth are too heavy to form a smile

Faved!
