JIMMY

JIMMY

Saw Jimmy in town I asked how he was keeping
That's when I noticed where he was sleeping
In a cardboard box Jimmy did lay
The same box he slept in yesterday

Poor Jimmy has no food on the table or roof over his head
Has no worldly goods or sheets on his bed
Jimmy is a vagrant and lives on the street
Looking for handouts from people he should meet

Jimmy Jimmy my heart goes out to you
I wish there was something I could do
This should not be happening in the world today
The rich are getting richer and the poor have no say
