Could’ve Been, J.M.G

J.M.B

I didn’t know.
I wasn’t taught.

I was lost.
I couldn’t stop.

We crossed paths.
We crossed views.

We didn’t know.
We weren’t taught.

We were lost.
We couldn’t stop.

Together we fought.
Together we loved.

Together we grew.
Together we taught.

I loved her.
She loved me.

We grew apart,
Because of me.

I blame them.
I blame myself.

She blames them.
She loved me.

My upbringing costs.
My present pays.

When she left,
it motivated change.

Love hurt me,
love helped too.

She saved me,
with open arms.

She showed me,
beauty through pain.
