Joining The Band

Joining The Band

No, not that 'band' but Robin Hood's merry men,
robbing the rich to give to the poor, where's my pen:
Maid Mariion breezed by, 'Hey Telboy from 21st century,
tell us what improved in eight hundred years of mystery.

We laughed, gave her a mobile but no tower, oh well,
thought that counts as Long John whittled so magical,
making a longbow, I told them about the guy in Norway,
who shot six people dead, weren't even rich so they say.

Look at the illustrious company - even King Richard 1st,
he dropped into the forest occasionally to quench his thirst,
Will Scarlet, Friar Tuck, Alan-A-Dale looked interestingly pale,
The Sheriff of Nottingham said: 'I'm coming to get you, without fail.'

'You're lucky Telboy, coming to a lovely place as this is,
take some arrows, go back to your time, give my love to Boris.'
