The Journey to Heaven

From darkness
comes the seed of light
It uncloaks my soul
and gives me sight

like a whisper
threw a trumpets blare
assuring my heart
my faith is there

We seek to find
the good in man
all as one
together we stand

We come alone
we leave the same
The hearts we touch
remember our name

Through acts of kindness
Compassion is born
On Judgment Day
we'll hear the horn

He sees through all
our souls are bared
forgiveness and grace
are gifts he shares

Look to the sun
you will see the king
perched on a throne
Angels will sing

Kneel and say these words
my friend
Forgive me God
for I have sinned

The gate will open
you will hear sweet laughter
You will see God, Our Father
in the hereafter
