Journey of the Heart
 
So many wild horses that we have yet to ride
But I guess we will have to take it all in stride
 
We don’t want to get burned by the fire
The very flames of our want and desire
 
Seemingly endless days and nights passed by
When we discovered all we have to do is try
 
We uncovered hope a love in a secret place
Now on we will change our earthbound ways
 
Allow love to envelop our once lonesome home
You warmed a thankful heart that had turned to stone
 
I took your tender heart once made of glass
Certain that your joy and happiness would last
 
An ethereal light shines within your heart
I’ve been stoking the flames from the start
 
We could travel to far off places of the heart
Hold my hand and say that we will never part
 
We could wake and kiss the morning sky
All of our troubles and worries part goodbye
 
Part the veil to see what the future holds
Say so long to those mournful days of old
 
Let’s make our life an exciting new quest
Were a hundred miles above the rest
 
We will find comfort from our heart’s within
We will journey to where the river of life begins
 
Set out on an endless journey till the day we die
Allowing all of the heartaches to simply pass us by
 
 
We will sleep under an endless blanket of stars
 While protected by the Gods of Venus and Mars
 
We will cry tears of joy no longer tears of sorrow
It’s a new day when the sun comes up tomorrow
