Joyce and Joe 😢

She is lost inside an echo of her husband’s hushed voice

And she suffer’s self pity though she hasn’t got a choice

When he left her all alone whispering “ Goodbye my darling Joyce”

She thought she saw an Angel hovering above his body with such serenity and poise..
                                ~
She had not been ready to let her husband go

They thought they had a lifetime left together but little did they ever know

Then they were parted like two passing ships in an ocean current flow

Oh my God but she was gonna miss her jovial Joe..
                                ~
Well it has been six years and three months since Joe passed away

And as she sits staring betwixt burning embers in her hearth, she reminisces that awful day

Her heart feels so empty and yet still so full of dismay

“Goodbye my dearest friend Joe” was the last thing she did say...
