Jungle Warfare

Jungle Warfare

The new comer
tiger in the room
gets into it
with the legendary
800 pound gorilla
who previously
had always gotten his way

The brash cat
obviously
was not impressed
by the past
established cliche

Because he was
top of the food chain
in his prior domain

His royal highness
Lord Lion soon
joins the rumble too

He has that whole
"King of the Jungle"
thing to defend

After the epic battle
over pride and title
had run it's bloody course

The combatants withdrew
to lick their wounds
and reflect on their positions

The wise owl
who witnessed the fight
from a safe height
landed and proposed a solution

Why not
join forces and peacefully
coexist at the peak
of the pyramid
and pool their powers
to defeat the scavenger
hyenas who profit off
the labor of others?

They all agreed
to live in harmony
and focus
on their true enemy

Will the truce hold?

We shall see
