JUST ANOTHER CHRISTMAS

JUST ANOTHER CHRISTMAS

It’s just another Christmas that Santa couldn’t stop by
Why?
Since daddy’s been gone everything’s been going wrong
And mom is barely holding on
It’s been awhile since she’s was working
I think mom is still hurting
At night we all pray together
In the one back room that we all stay together
And we can hear mom in her own room cry
Asking God why
Why can’t she provide?
Why did daddy have to die?
She sat us all down the other day
I think she lied when she said that everything would be ok
Because we couldn’t even afford a Christmas tree
And she cried as she tried to explain why there may be no gifts for us three
Then she hugged us
Told us that she loved us
And we may be too young to fully understand this
But for us this is just another Christmas!
