Just Believe
 
Is seems you’re about to make the great escape
No longer will you be standing in the tidal wake
 
You had been unselfishly loving him for so long
Can all that did for him be considered wrong
 
There’s been nothing but rain falling from the sky
You endlessly doted on him and now you wonder why
 
He took endless advantage of your loving heart
And for once and finally the stormy seas shall part
 
They say that ignorance is truly a sign of bliss
You don’t want to continue being a pawn of his
 
You climbed a mountain high just for him
And he attacks you verbally on a simple whim
 
Some people it seems are impossible to please
Listen to your music, drive and put your mind at ease
 
Go ahead and drive until you can drive no more
The time has come for you to even the score
 
Silently disappear into the oncoming darkness
Knowing all the while that he was cold and heartless
 
Seven years of heartache you gave up to that man
Regain your treasured freedom while you still can
 
There’s no use trying to salvage this relationship
Because its sinking like a torpedoed battleship
 
Walk ever towards your heavenly guiding light
Never again to fear the darkness of the night
 
Your precious loving heart deserves so much more
Cast your hopes and desires on the diamond lined shore
 
Spread your heavenly wings you are now free
Find it within yourself to simply just believe
