Love, the greatest journey of them all,
Only once you’ve shed the tears.
Velvet to touch, sweet to taste,
Everyone falls, looking past the fears.

Listening to your heart is easy,
Often, makes a fool of some.
Voices of close friends seem distant,
Easy, to pretend she’s the one.

Leave the chains of life behind,
Offers of heaven are yours to waste
Victory is but a kiss away,
Each joker dealt, seems like an ace.

Live to please her every wish,
Obey her will to keep it strong.
Value her and never leave,
Even when you know it’s wrong.

Looks like things have run a course,
Open new doors with hurts key.
Vampire bites would cause less pain,
Echoes of its not you, its me.

Lasting hurt, the gift of love,
Orchestrated to the end.
Vicious till you know truth,
Experienced broken hearts will mend.
