just a test

Sometimes on your phone  or on your job
You will get an alarm and think there's a problem
Then you get to find out with relief
That's its just a test of the emergency alert system

Its just to warn you of any impeding disaster .  
Or if there were any events that had occurred
Sometimes they would do an evacuation drill
And some of us gets upset when we don't concurred

But its needed though to keep us  informed  and safe
And it does makes a lot of common sense
And we all should be very thankful
Cause its our first line of defense

But its only for that purpose only
It does not apply to human honesty and faith
Like back biting  lying fake friendship
And the ones we choose to be associated with

So we have to use own judgement
And perform our own " just a test
To know who is truly our friends 
And then stay away from the rest

but at the same time we have to be fair
for fingers will be pointing back at us
for we cannot throw stones in someone garden
if we don't clean our garden first

friends will take you but wont bring you back
words my grandmother use to say
and they would get you in trouble
and then leave and run away

every one today is carrying a weight
a weight that only them alone can contemplate
but that does not give them a reason
to be hurtful any one or differentiate

not everything that glitters
is going to be diamond and gold
without a little common sense and intuition
you're not going to be facing an easy world

wont it be nice to have a test for the government
 to see their true colors before they get your votes
they says they care about the worlds problems
while sipping champagne on million dollar boats

"a little test sometimes we all have to take 
about the people we all put in power
to know how to follow our hearts instinct
and don't give them seats they're looking for

These are troubled difficult times today
And many hides behind a smiling mask
Situations in the world will effect everyone
making simple things an impossible task
 
The rich is getting richer 
And poor " well we all knows how that goes
Living paycheck to paycheck 
Buying lottery tickets and saying " you never knows

That's why we have to apply that test
Because if you don't, it would be a mistake
Life is to short and stressful
To waste your precious time on fakes

And as we lift our fingers to point 
We got to point it at our self's too
For at that same time 
Someone  else fingers will be pointing at you
