Just Like When We Were Kids

The things we used to do,
Are whittled in our past.
They are nothing other than,
Memories made to last.

We used to dance and sing and play,
Until we suddenly stopped.
The pressure that was put on us,
Built up until it popped.

We fell into darkness,
And let it take over us.
But then one day you changed your ways,
For you that was a plus.

But alas I still remained,
Hidden in the dark.
But you came along and saved my soul,
Quick like a great white shark.

And to this day I still remember,
That special thing you did.
Now we dance and sing and play,
Just like when we were kids.
