Justice?

Always ready with hugs and affection
to much so on reflection
lavishing sweets and toys
frowning when she played with boys
I was so delighted he took the time
bonding with songs and rhyme
forever sitting on his knee
Why didn't I see?
That dreadful day I'll never forget
she came and said "Sorry mommy, I'm wet"
her panties covered in blood
I knew some-one had been up to no good
I tried to stay calm
not frighten my little lamb
"What happened darling,
tell mommy everything"
She started crying
and said "you'll say I'm lying"
"He told me to say I fell
Mommy I'm not allowed tell"
My heart sank to the floor
my innocent girl, no more
"We'll go and see Doctor 'G'
he'll make it better, you'll see"
He took over from there
all I could do was vacantly stare
How could I not have known
as I'm ringing his phone
He denies all wrongdoing
"She must have fell, always bloody running"
court case is looming on the horizon
Five years the police are surmising
I've already bought the gun
lessons on Tuesdays at one
five years is a disgrace
I'll wipe the smile off his face
