Keep Me Safe

Wooden brush, rock, and stone, scattered leaves, and broken branches, muddy waters
Lay within the dark paths of the forest, where blind, I can no longer see, where I only know the wind
It guides me, as the eagle, and the hawk, sound over me, while, my walking stick finds new ground
I am the only one left, the only one in my tribe, the only one, who knows the truth, to survive
Keep me safe, are the spirits of the wind, sky, and earth, the mountains call to me, and I follow
Tears in our path, the hungry, the starvation, the young, the old, the very weak, and frail, fallen
Though the land, will always know our name, it will hunger for our hands, it will cry for our blood
And thirst, for another day, another beginning, another time, where we can speak the language of peace
Keep me safe, while my feet swell, they bleed, and I hunger to eat, watch over me, as I will find safety
In the next generation, in the future, in the new horizon, I will see your face, and you will see the sunrise
A sign of a new beginning, a gold dust to shine, when we meet again in the heavens, I will kiss your lips, and you shall kiss mine
The land we lost, our native land, to know it, to live it, to be one again, we shall soon find

Hey Nancy,
Your spiritual writes are always ' a gold dust to shine" I have always known that. "And thirst, for another day, another beginning, another time, where we can speak the language of peace".
Keep walking with the spirit and keep thirsting for another day, Nancy. It will come.
Bee-
Thanks for your inspiration.
Best Wishes
