Kingdom of Memories.

My little world was filled with wonders
Each day filled with new adventures 
Surrounded by love and beautiful light
Nobody had it better than I 
Magical fairytales my grandpa read
With sweet princess crying for help
As he put on his glasses I knew;
He’d read me more stories 
And everyday we’d have new fun
He said I didn’t need no prince 
That my heart knew no bounds
Too brave and too curious was I 
Late in the afternoon we walked our dog
Watching the sun go down in fields 
Showing me what true beauty really means 
We returned to a house filled with fishy smells
Since we went fishing without fail 
Grandpa loved his little girl with all him might 
The rooms were filled with love and giggles
From dawn till dusk we played;
Cards, droughts, there was no limit 
Grandpa was the king in my world,
And I the brave princess in it.
