Poem -

Knives

I’m under attack trying to dodge
knives being thrown at my back.
When one hits it’s sharp pointy end pierces my skin, I refuse to give in.

Thought I was part of a loving family but instead they hunt me in a pack. Every time I don’t please they try to attack to bring me to my knees.

Their unkind words roll of tongues like large sharp knives, cut me to my core. Accusing me of telling lies and so much more. It cuts me deep.

When under such an attack, you decide you have to fight back. So I’m preparing my gun, to shoot profanities back.
