"LACHRYMOSE"

"LACHRYMOSE"

Beside myself, so numb
I don't what I feel
The trembling of my hands
Seeking to understand
The way my soul
shakes and sways
The intense passion
That plays
Luminescence on the chains
Rusting over the years
Ending here, can I face
My pain and the fear

The one I loved before
Who they loved before me

Remnants of old letters
Scattered across the floor
Staring at the dried blood
Coating my bedroom door
An essence in the air
This dreary Thursday evening
Paints on the walls
Constant in it's peeling
I know myself more
And I must be strong
When I've been gone
For so very long
Don't come to wake me
Don't touch my face
It will only make colder
In this space
Upon a dream
Captured in starlight
For a moment in time
It shines so bright
I know that I am lost
But I will be fine
The ghosts have moved on
And left me behind
Something that I
Fail to explain
Yet its only here
When everything else goes away
