Land of Brehon

in memory of Ireland's ancient order

Land of Brehon

I dreamed of a land of Brehon men
when Erin's custom calmed the waves
it's way of wisdom enlightened all
and drew the mind beyond the cave

I dreamed of a land where we were free
free of thought, word and creed
liberty enriched the soil
depth of soul within the deed

I dreamed of a land both wise and fair
where clan and caring mattered most
where rule of law ruled with purpose
brought harmony along our coast

I dreamed of a land of Brehon men
of Tuath, legend, our story told
alas our tale got lost in plunder
for who we are is what we hold.
