LAST WISH

I was on morning stroll

By the side of sacred river

When I found lots of fishes

Jumping on to the ground!

A rare phenomenon, so strange

I grew anxious about it.

One of the fishes,

as if read my mind,  

said they wanted to live

a little more time in comfort!

The leader of the fishes said

“A river could be sacred

For human beings as well

But not at the cost of its own

Legitimate aquatic inhabitants! ”

A clever wildcat passing by

just avoided eating the fishes

fearing his own life!

But then, there’s a policeman

Charging them with attempt of suicide!
