Laurens clever little Olly

Olly is Laurens guinea pig
He is staying here for a while
His Mum is on her holidays
Making memories to make her smile

She was very sad to leave him
As she left & said goodbye
I saw her looking sad with a teardrop in her eye

But I assured her I’d take great care
No harm would come to him I swear
So I’m wrapping him in cotton wool
He will be safe, I am no fool

Olly is so clever because he  does know his name
I call “Olly” a few times a day
& We play a little game

I have a piece of string 
Which I make into a loop
Olly does a little run & jump
As he passes through the hoop

I think he could be in a circus 
The crowds would come to see
This  peculiar performing rodent
As he dances  around with me?
