Lavender
Lavender
J. Allen Hewitt
I dreamt of romance in fluorite hues,
the heart so wanted to be loved,
but body as playful as a violet starling,
danced away to songs unknown,
heart twice caught a blue rogue and purple crown
An orchid tear fell from mine eye,
in the night under lilac bloom,
he engage upon bended knee,
a ring placed bearing amethyst jewel,
but I knew my liseran heart was torn.
Walking the night along eggplant shadows,
I thought my heart could bear no more,
giving myself to the tanzanite river below,
I cried for them, those of my selfish misdeeds,
as my life floated away under a lavender moon.

thank you very much, I know romanticizing suicide is often looked down upon, but life is hard and true love is not forcing your sins on the one you love.
This brilliant. The use of soft tones to describe anguish...the paradox works near perfect.
I appreciate your noticing the paradox, it was a hard time in my life that took a very lojg time to recover from, but I understand why she did it, I didn't agree, but I accepted it :(
aaw im sorry when i read it i did not realize it was about suicide silly me
such a sad thing
her terrible past of many different things had her so overwhelmed, but she couldn't bring herself to push those on me, so she felt she loved me so much that when I asked her to marry me, she had to give herself to the river...
I found her on the side a day later.
sacrificing yourself to protect the one you love, very Shakespearean...
I hate Shakespeare now :(
