Leader of the cheer

Leader of the cheer

Where is Ireland's leader?
the one of courage
the one of principal
the one of substance
the one who'll stand alone.
Where is Ireland's hero?
the one of myth
the one of legend
the one so righteous
the one who knows his own.
Where is Ireland's patriot?
the one of vision
the one of civics
the one with idea
of which we often read.
Where is Ireland's virtue?
a one of faith
a one of belief
a one of honour
one we badly need.
Where is Ireland's spirit?
one so resilientĀ
one so daring
one to inspire
to last throughout the year.
Where is Ireland now?
morally bankrupt
Euro puppets
nothing to see
just a leader of the cheer.
