Poem -

Leap of faith

Am I beautiful?
Even though to my body I’m undutiful
Do you love my war torn skin?
Marks of an unforgivable sin
As if a scratch on a mahogany oak
Would you risk your heart to be broke

Like an angel, your glow appears
Vanishing my deepest fears
We all have scars, but they are forgivable
For you I’d be derivable
So Let your precious stone walls down
I’d never leave you on the ground

But the broken can’t be fixed?
What if my life wasn’t affixed
What if the truth was knotty
Could you accept the mind and body
Would you make the world feel brighter
Could you be my much needed fighter

for you I’d stop the oceans
I’d give you only happy emotions
For you my love I’d treasure it all
I’d catch you when you fall
It’s not the drop that is dangerous
But the cruel landing that injures us

If you promise that I’d be safe
If you won’t smash my world with a mace
For you I’d risk my heart
I trust you’ll fix when things fall apart
Teach me how to live and love
So I can fly free like a dove

I will protect you always
Make you adore your sunny days
For you will live nothing short of great
We are meant to be, it’s fate
For now rest on my shoulder dear
I’ve got you, so you don’t need to fear
