Legacy of light

Sonnet

Legacy of light

Gold and silver faded thus
more luminous are thy needs
depth thy gauge within one's soul
quantified by deed,
For hope sustain when all bereft
nay not pose of mortal charm
hearts that wander in the myre
seek to nourish in the harm,
bequeath to me thou noble thought
divulge thou mind that glow
though age inflict its savage ways
it's wisdom it doth grow,

Thus have and hold all that's  right
a glorious legacy of your light.

The fish of the sea

Interesting concept here, very intriguing wordplay. This might be a stab in the dark, but this gave the message of man not meeting Gods expectations... but hey I'm just a simply poet here! ;) Either way awesome write.
