LET ~ ME

(Leave Everything Today ~ Maybe Tomorrow)
Let me in
Let me win
Â
Let me sing
Don’t take my ring…
Â
Let me be
Let me see
Â
Let me lead
Don’t let me bleed…
Â
Let me know
Let it snow
Â
Let me dance
Don’t give them a chance…
Â
Let me lie
then Let me die
Â
Let me leave
But don’t let Steve…

Painting: 'Human skull' by Matthew Paoletti
Amazing :) Very interesting and amusing xx
glad I'm not the only one who sees the humour in it lol ~ someone asked me, what's funny about it? and i was like, you tell me. it's funny to me but if it's not to you, then it's not to you. Someone else will find it funny. You don't have to though. hehehehe
Pretty funny, H.I., primarily due to the delivery of the last line.
Just who is this ambiguous "Steve" character you wrote of in your poem?
Inquiring minds want to know, heh-heh...
Good stuff.
~Dean Kuch ???
hehehe thanks Dean. Well the line itself "Let me leave but don't let Steve" was inspired by alot of things...but mainly from something a friend of mine said to me once before she took the fall for something (i won't say what but it was a school thing and she got detention lol) she said: If I die, don't follow me...and in that moment I was reminded of every hero in every movie I've seen who sacrificed themselves so the main character would live/could survive (e.g. Gandalf & the Balrog fight scene!)...
So Steve, is that character who has to live/survive (the main character essentially) in order for the story to progress/for the journey to continue etc Â
Got 'cha, H.I. :)
