Let Me Be

My Pain

The pain that I felt,
So sore to the touch,
The lashings of the belt,
Never seemed to be enough,

I fought my way through,
Each scar slicing my skin,
Why do suffer because of you?
Probably cause I let you in,

You demons run and play,
Deep inside my mind,
What? Now you want to stay?
I really just want to unwind,

Take a few steps back,
Who are you to judge me?
My Playlist full of MGK and Mac,
Wouldn't you want to be free,

Free like me,
You run my fears til insanity,
Just so you can consume,
Everything that is dear to me,

No I won't let you have that!
It's mine!
No I don't want to talk back!
You're just in my mind,

Please leave me alone,
You don't know me,
Your voices gives me chills to the bone,
Please set my mind free,

Don't push me voices,
Or I'll scream,
You don't own these spaces,
So let me be.
