LET ME BURN

LET ME BURN

Let me burn
Let the flames grow higher
Till there's nothing left to feel
But the intensity of the fire
Let the memories be consumed
Pain's burning embers of the past
Till there's nothing to feel or remember
And the past is gone, at last
But please don't let me suffer
A slow agonizing death
Throw gasoline on the fire
Till pain is consumed in my final breath
For I shall rise up out of the ashes
Like an eagle, I will soar
My spirit's been set free
To suffer no more
Let me burn
Till there's nothing left of me
Till I rise up and conquer
And it's God's glory that you see
Let me burn
