Poem -

Lies (based on a book)

I felt your loneliness
But it was false
Underneath each word
Was a lie
I felt your humility
But it was a smokescreen
For the farce
You call friendship
I felt your pain
But no pain you held
Your heart like ice
You lied
I felt your charm
The incessant need for attention
But it was imaginary
As was your affection
You lied
To cover your own back
I thought I was helping
But I was off track
This is the last time
My shoulder will be there
For you to.lean on
But you won't care
As you will create
Another personality
To lure another with your lies
And forget me.
