Life

“Let streams be damned. Drink ephemeral floods”.
Whilst summer’s warm breath, soft as honey, slips
thru timid hearts, pleasure comes to scared thuds.
Youth’s slurred lines (props upon which refrain trips).
Autumn’s wind subdues restless summer lips.
A ruttle shivers and sings through dead leaves.
Waning, the trappings of fingers and hips.
Freed from desire, warmth was winter’s eve.
True feelings, revealed in winter’s calm breath,
are lies once felt, now resolved to soft death.
From nothing, spring blooms; the harbinger of
hope. Sweet golden bees anoint blue pea buds.
Dew wets petal lips, foretelling new love,
Aureolas warm one seed with two muds.Â
