THIS LIFE

This life is beautiful

It is so wonderful

Though full of strife

But wonderful is this life

Its pillars are hard work laid on

Lighted by those willing to take the bull by the horn

Its roads are spiked with thorns

But unwieldy to the hearts of the Strong’s

Its arms are unsociable

Its safe-haven is untenable

Pains and death comes unsolicited

Making the man absolutely astounded

But on the other side of this lies

The grandeur of happiness to rise

Offered by the Great King Emmanuel

With the gospel as an enamel

All needed to walk this path is faith

With unwavering mind toward spiritual rebirth
