Reach for the stars and follow your dreams

I hear this everyday, but it’s not what it seems

I listen to my heart, but sometimes it’s hard to hear

And sometimes what it tells me isn’t so clear

I wish there were directions to the stars

Then reaching for them wouldn’t sound bizarre

If I could achieve my dreams in the blink of an eye

Then I’d do the impossible and fly way up high

I would run faster than the speed of light

Or I’d time travel back to when life was so bright

But then I realize that there would be no meaning of life

If challenges are never set before you to cause strife

All you have to do is believe in whatever you do

And make the best of what life presents to you

Because everyone exits, but not everyone lives

So we should value what we have and all life gives

We should chase after our dreams and not run away

And learn to live happy each and everyday

Life may seem hard at first, but it finds a way through

So don’t give up on it, because it all depends on you
