Life, Love

I can relate to Hank Williams Sr.
"I'm so lonesome I could cry"
I wake up everyday looking at a empty space
Missing the ones I love
They have grown and life goes on
You can wish things were the same
You can look for someone to blame
But life and what happens is mostly up to you
You make choices and sometimes you get bruised
The sun rose this morning
The birds are singing a tune
So I brush off the useless attitude
And look for the goodness
God has plans for me too
I've lived my life
The best I could
I've made mistakes
But my children's love I still take
They enjoy my company
How could I not be happy
With the results I see
I hold the love important to me
God stays the same
I stand strong a smile fixed on my face
It's a God thing
I have his grace
I may be alone
But daily I'm embraced

Simply awesome
Nice to hear from you Kieran. Thank you my friend.
Beautiful, so beautiful! Happy and sad as well! My life has followed a similar path! If I'm not mistaken, you're 80, I'm 83... you've recently lost your mate... I lost mine to breast cancer... I feel your pain! Love you bunches, Terry... Happy Jack XOX
Thank you Jack. I am so sorry for your lost and I admire your courage that you display in your poems everyday. To move beyond your pain and bring such joy in others life's is admirable. My husband left me when I got sick and it really was hard. I am 62 and he left when I was 46 and I have never dated but I recently got in touch with an old love. He is 70 and we are trying to work out getting together. He lives in CA and me Texas. I am talking about my children mostly in the poem and my dog that slept next to me with her head on the pillow next to me. Thank you Happy Jack. I think a lot of you. Love, Terry Kay
So sorry for my guess at your age! My wife was only 59 when she passed away! That was 20 years ago... It was hard then and still is! I do hope that it works out for getting together with this old love of yours... I'm praying for you! BTW your avatar must be a fairly recent one then... you are beautiful!!! You are such a caring and loving soul...I'm sending you much love dear Terry! Happy Jack XOX
Jack,. I lost my step dad when he was 57 my mom was 54 and she never remarried. I remember that he asked her to wait at least a year to get remarried. Things were never the same without him. He truly did not know how much he was loved. I am so sorry for your loss. To lose your wife so young is such a loss. Thank you for kindness Jack. You live in CA don't you. I'm in Texas. Hope you have a Good evening. Love, Terry Kay

My son's are 15 years apart so my youngest is 26 and just left. So after 42 years I'm done. Sure is quite these days. I know exactly what you mean....I used to tear up thinking about it too...? Ya never know Rae Rae you could do like me wait ten years or so and do it all again! ? Life has always been a mystery to me. TK
