Life through a filter

Life through a filter

Beyond the filters, and under the lies,
deep down inside, her heart and soul cries.
longing for comments, or even a like,
her ‘real’ face has vanished, disappeared on strike.
Her lip size has doubled, her hair has grown long, she looks like a model, feels like she belongs.
Up pops a message, ‘new notification’,
that’s it, she’s hooked it took little persuasion.
she just changed her picture again, to look like that girl, the one in the new post who looks out of this world.
If only she knew that the other girl was untrue, as under her filter she looked just like her too.
