Life's Competition

Life's Competition

With any kind of sport
Or challenge that you face
You try to be the good sport
But really want first place,

You line up for the challenge
Your stomach does a flip
You feel your knees are wobbly
And hope you don't just trip,

So whether it is mental
Or a physical demand
You need to keep your options
Where you are in command,

You tell yourself you are so strong
And best at what you do
And to be in competition
Is the only thing you know,

You run the raceĀ
Of life each day
So come in first
And have your say...
