Life's Ignorance

Life's Ignorance

Looking at your feet,

While you walk a dangerous road.

You've never felt pure joy...

Carrying ignorances load.

Footsteps shuffle pass you,

As you focus on the ground.

Shutting out the people.

Shutting out the sounds.

Your heart reaches out for someone,

To come and make you smile.

But then you'd see the pain-filled world,

That you've walked through mile-by-mile.

Continuing to press on,

Head down, nothing wavering.

Not only skipping pain,

But joy-peace worth severing.

Ignorance is safety...

While pain's a sharpened knife.

But joy's a pair of angel's wings,

When traveling the road of life.

Hi  K  This is kind of sad to read
The feeling I get is of a person ignoring life
and the people in it, not  wanting to get hurt,
and he or she thinks only in death would
he or she feel no pain or depressive thoughts (just my thoughts as i read )
A poignant piece well written
Best wishes Debs
