Life's Plan

Life's Plan

Smoothing out the jagged edges of life
Doing the best we can
The hamster's wheel continues to turn
Animal outrunning man

Precarious edges we try to avoid
Hanging on with both hands
We don't want to be the one that falls
Want to be the last one that stands

Giving up is not an option to take
Carry on running the wheel
Perpetual determination keeps it turning
Wounds forgotten once they heal

Circle of life is the name of the game
A game we all have to play
Passing a turn doesn't happen
We all play a part everyday

Sometimes the edges are sharp
We cope the best that we can
Sometimes the edges are soft
But that's just all part of the plan
