Life’s Rollercoaster

Life’s Rollercoaster

Life is now like riding a rollercoaster, emotions racing up and down;
One minute I’ll be happy, the next I’ll have a frown!
The newspaper in the morning, sets the mood for most the day;
A somber sad reminder, of people passed away!
.
It’s a war against a virus, more deadly than e’er seen;
A battle we are losing, to this horrid monstrous fiend!
Plus, the economy is sinking, the now jobless have no funds;
Their rescue stuck in red tape, so slowly has begun!
.
The “stay at home” restrictions, are being followed by most all;
But the hours tick by so slowly, staring at four walls!
Our computers are the portals, to stay in touch with humanity;
The networks try to keep our spirits up, thank God for our TVs!
.
Cooking keeps me busy, preparing “three squares” a day;
And I loosen up more with each glass, of an oaky Chardonnay!
Outdoors brightens up my spirits, three walks in the Springtime air;
But at night, I’m back on the rollercoaster, thinking “life is just not fair”!
.
.
Up and down I go
With rollercoaster mood swings
Laughter and sadness

My Dear Greg,

To cite a song from the Broadway show "Annie",
The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow
To cite my extreme uncertainty
I fear "Tomorrow" will never come

All my love,
Larry xxx

My Dear Simon,

There is an old song here in the United States, titled, "The Sun Shines Bright On My Old Kentucky Home".
May it soon spread to the other forty-nine states.
Thank you for your heartfelt comment.

Peace and Love,

Hey LARRY!!…...the ups and downs of reality are always unpredictable.....indeed, this is pretty extreme...but it's happened before....it will happen again......but when life provides something predictable like an 'oaky Chardonnay' ~ well, THAT'S something to hold onto!!...Big Smiles!!….hope I wasn't too overly sarcastic!!...Just thought I'd bring a smile if I could!!…..Love you man!!…...Peace n stuff!!…...T xo  : )

My Dear Tony,

Like in my poem, where I wrote about happiness and frowns, your very UNOVERLY sarcasm, has brought laughter and glee.
I think I will "hold onto it" for the whole day.
I will toast you my dear friend, for the joy you always bring to me.

All my love,
Larry xxx
