Light through your eyes
Depression, rape.

Darkness taunted me,
Through my childhood,
And into adulthood,
But you showed me the light,
Through your eyes.Â
You asked me,
Why I can’t see the light,
Through my own eyes?Â
I told you,Â
I’m to broken to be fixed,
But you,
Determined and eager,Â
To fix your little girl,
Showed me the light,Â
Through your eyes,Â
Again and again.Â
You told me life would get easier,Â
But what if I told you,
How can life get easier,Â
If it was already stolen,Â
By the man before.Â
What did this man do?
You asked,Â
He stole my purity,Â
My self worth, my innocence,Â
And my life.Â
Desperate to hide my emotions from you,Â
You peeled it away like an orange,Â
Now you know,Â
Through my eyes,Â
That darkness still lies.
